Hi. A neighbor used my dryer and then when I went to use it I mashed the start button and it wouldn't start. Well, I found I could hold the start button, door button, and turn the tub by hand and it will start but then it will not heat. Anyone know what happened?
When You Push The Start Button Does It Try To Start But Only Groans And Does Nothing... If So Bad Motor ... Is You Vent Looged ... Back Up Of Lint Will Cause This
no, when you mash the start button it does nothing at all, like no power. But if you manually rotate the tub while holding the button it will start but not heat.
I just discovered today- I can just hold the door button, spin the tub, and shut the door really fast and the dryer will begin spinning WITHOUT mashing the start button, but still no heat. Does anyone have any idea what my problem is?
My whirlpool washer is less than 2 years old. My wife was washing a load today, and after the rinse cycle, it went to spin. As soon as it hit the spin cycle, it started making this horrible loud grinding-type noise. Like as if something that was supposed to be turning was being held back by something. She immediately shut it off. Anyone have any ideas what it could be before we call a repair person?

Hello,
I have a GE side by side that is about 3 and half years old. Bought brand new when we moved into our house. About 3 weeks ago I noticed the freezer was not getting as cold as it should. I removed all items and noticed the inside back part of the freezer was frozen up. I turned off the freezer and essentially let it defrost. After several hours and lots of water clean up it appeared to have "defrosted". So I turned it back on and made sure it worked. Place a gel ice pack in there to make sure it froze and it did. i let it run a few days before I placed anything abck in it. Then about a week ago I noticed that the refrigerator side seemed to be a little warmer than normal but everything was still okay inside. Then I came home tonight and everything in the freezer had thawned and the inside back of the freezer was frozen up again & the refrigerator side seem cool at best.
Could this be something simple to fix or check before I call in someone - we live about 30 minutes from the nearest repair place.
Here is the model number on my unit:
GSS22UFMB WW
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
