GE Electric Washer leaking oil?

I have a GE electric washer which was accumulating quite a bit of nasty black moldy looking stuff underneath. When I pulled it out to clean, there was also about a cup of greenish-yellow thick fluid which looked like anti-freeze on the floor. I would appreciate any suggestions as to what this is and what steps my handy husband could take to fix it. The machine is working fine now, but I am concerned about this little leak leading to a major breakdown.

The Moldy Stuff Is Probably Belt Dust From A Worn Belt... The Other Is Gear Oil Fm Trannsmission... Unless He Is Pretty Good At Tearing The Thing Apart... Transmission Will Be Needed In The Future... I Think The Trans Has A 10 Yr Warranty From Date Of Purchase But You Will Need To Call Ge.... You Just Have The Labor Cost,,,,
