Fridge stopped working

About a month ago my fridge stopped working. The freezer is having a hard time keeping up because the fridge is so warm but I think it is actually OK. We were going to just replace it – even though it is only about 6 years old – but then remembered the timing was about the same as when we had our whole place dry-walled. Could this be the problem? We have been building this 2nd home for some time so it is a constant construction area which I am sure, reeks havoc on appliances. Would just vacuuming the coils under the fridge be enough? BTW – the temp in the fridge is about 48 degrees.
Thanks!

Wink

You have lots of ifs here. Low freon , some defrost stuck on . Blocked cap tube Fan not on. On and on. A dirty coil under it would give you very high head psi.
