Question maytag ice maker hose leak

Have a maytag S by S fridge. This AM found a puddle next to fridge. Found leak where hose for ice maker goes into back of fridge. Then noticed the ice maker did not have any water in it. Thus, water must be backing up somehow.

Anyone know what could be the problem. Should I pull out the ice maker and see if the lines are blocked? Doesn't sound like a circuit issue, does it?

Hate to pay a service call for something simple.

You probably have ice clogging your icemaker fill tube, the tube that enters the icemaker. If so, make sure your water supply line behind the ref. isn't kinked. If it's ok you need to replace the ref. water valve as it's allowing a small amount of water seepage through it.

Took it apart, and yes, the water supply was clogged. Feeding hose is fine, so I am the Ref. Water Valve sounds like the problem. Does this stand for Refridgerator Water Valve? Any idea where it is located on the fridge?

The water valve you need to replace is in back where the water supply line connects to the refrigerator. Trace the water line down the back of the ref. and it will go to the water valve.
