Kenmore Washing Machine Overflows

The machine doesn't overflow everytime, just every now and then. I have no idea what else to try. When I turn it off the water shuts off instantly so I didn't think it could be the valve? I have replaced the water level switch, and checked the hose that goes to the switch, I also put tie straps on both ends of the hose to be sure it was tight. What else can I try? At this point I am really lost.
Thanks, Jeremy
