Whirlpool washing machine doesn't drain

The washing machine fills with water and runs to the end of the washing cycle and then just sets there, no noise. I have pulled it apart and pulled the pump from the front of the motor shaft. The "pump" does turn by hand but has a lot of friction. The hoses are not clogged. What should I do next to test this?

Maybe a bad lid switch.

Advice for Kenmore electric dryer

I have a Kenmore Dryer Model #86983110 which is about 15yrs old. My wife attempted to use it last week and told me it is not starting. I purchased a new switch from Sears ($36.95) and installed it. Still not working. Symptoms are when you try starting it, you can hear a faint clicking, (really faint). I thought for sure it was the switch. I changed out the 30amp breaker thinking it could be bad, but still nothing. I have dropped a lot of money into this dryer over the years, new belt, element, solinoid. Any suggestions, before I go and purchase a new one?

Volt tested fuse-- no electricity. So now where do I go to find the problem? I see wires going under tub and coming back out. Please help :confused:
