Frigidaire Dishwasher Won't Start
#1

I tried searching first but no luck, so here's my first post.
Tuesday night everything worked fine. Last night, Wednesday, my wife loaded the dishwasher, added soap, and shut the door, but then something strange happened.....NOTHING! Nothing happened. I checked the breakers and water and everything seems fine. Is there some sort of surge protector on the dishwasher that may be tripped? Some sort of reset button?
I'm at a loss here, I couldn't see anything out of the ordinary, and clearly nothing changed over night. We had a thunderstorm Tuesday night/Wednesday morning so I thought maybe it had surged, but I just don't know.
It's a Frigidaire, model number FDB710LCS0.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

older machine? ok- first thing is to ensure you have power to the machine. If it plugs into a receptacle under the sink, check the receptacle with a receptacle tester. Next, take off the bottom panel of the DW and look for a little junction box where the cordset is hooked up to the machine. Are the connections ok? Next thing to check is the door switches. When you close the door, do you then swing a handle into place? That engages a pair of swtiches which supply both the hot and nuetral power to the machine. You can take the switches out and continuity test them. Sometimes you find a bad switch, sometimes you find where the mechanism is broken preventing the switches from being engaged. Jeff what is your machine's model #? Let us know what you find. Thanks.

OK thanks. I found parts at appliance parts pros but I couldn't find a wiring diagram or parts illustration which is why I suspect it's an older machine. Frigidaire Appliances - Home and Kitchen Appliances for your home they will send you a paper copy of the wiring diagram if you e-mail them; click on the customer service link. Have you had an oppurtunity to check out the areas I mentioned?
