Red face Ge Stove Burner and Foil "pop"

Good Day,

We got a small piece of foil stuck in with the large top burner connector. Insead of it arcing which i had happen a couple of years ago this time it just popped.

The burner still turns on but has not temp control. Just high and off. What do i need to replace? the Fuse or thermostat or both?

Thanks
Dave

Do you mean a piece of foil got into the recepticle where the burner plugs into? If so, you should replace the recepticle & try that first. I have a feeling though that the foil shorted out the contacts in your burner switch & fried it.
Thats why you only have the high setting or off. Dave

Replace the burner recepticle & the control switch. Both are bad. Dave
