Frigidaire dishwasher: won't fill
Model is GLD2155RDC1.
Measured the water inlet valve/solenoid and it has a resistance of ~ 1200 ohms, is that ok ?
Also tried to start the dishwasher and measured the voltage at the solenoid and no 110V AC. Is there a detection circuit that blocks the AC to the solenoid if the resistance is to high ?
What else can it be ?
Where can I find parts in Canada ?

Another way to test the inlet valve would be to disconnect the wires from it and use a test cord to
apply 115 volts to the terminals. I just use a test electrical cord with alligator clips to do this.
Disconnect the wires from the inlet valve and hook the probes of your tester to them. Now set the timer at the very beginning of the cycle and start it up. See if you get 115 volts at any time within first several minuets of the cycle. I do it this way because the fill cycle is short and easy to miss.
If you don’t get any voltage the first place I would check is the float switch. First make sure that nothing is hanging it up physically. Make sure the float moves freely up and down and that it properly actuates the switch when in the resting position.

Can I actualy connect 115 V to the terminals withouth damaging anything ?
I disconnected the wires and tried to start the dishwasher but no significant voltage came up (just some mV). The float switch I already tested and it is ok.
I noticed the the pump motor is in series with the solenoid valve (or looks like it).
What should I test next if the valve will work if I connect to 115 V ?

Provided the valve is made to run on 115 volts you won’t hurt it. Just make sure you disconnect the wires from the dishwasher harness before doing this.
When you apply power to it then the valve should open and allow water to come in. Don’t leave it hooked up for too long or you will overfill the tub.

You could be losing the voltage anywhere between the float switch
and where it comes out of the timer. I would need to see a schematic
to give you much more on this end. See if you can locate the diagram
and start tracing it back. The diagram is usually located behind the lower
cover or behind main front panel itself.
