reinstall oven door

Hi. The door to my G.E. oven fell off (ask my wife how, I have no idea) and I can't seem to get it back on. There are spring loaded brackets on the bottom that are supposed to slip over two bars. The brackets won't stay extended, they snap back before I can fit the door over the bars. Any ideas? Thanks.

make the hinges extend a quarter (not full open) open and this should allow you to replace the door into it's mounting recess.
let us know if anymore help is needed

Get two people for the job. Ball up some tinfoil and wedge it into the door hinge so they won't keeping popping backward. Carefully slide it in until you feel the hinge drop. Took me and a friend 20 minutes to finally get it right. Before we figured out the tinfoil method, I wanted to throw the over door out the window.

Good luck and thanks for the initial tip
