Front Loader Washing Machine Wanders During Spin Cycle

My front loader washing machine moves around when on its spin cycle. Is there away to immobilize a washing machine? It is so heavy that I have a hard time pushing it back into place, besides the worry it will separate itself from the hoses and flood my downstairs.

Thanks for any suggestions,

Schlumpy

If your question is can you fasten your machine to the floor-probably not.
The first thing to check is if the tub support strap has been removed. All front load washers that I'm aware of come shipped with a removable strap that holds the tub in place during shipping. The strap must be removed during installation. Check your installation instructions if you're unsure if the strap has been removed.
The next thing to check is level. Make sure the machine is level front to back and side to side. Most machines have lock nuts to lock the leveling legs in place once the machine is level. It is important to use the lock nuts once the machine is level.
Front load washers generally spin significantly faster than top load washers. Depending on the floor covering the machine is sitting on and the sub -structure of the floor, you may need to go to a different brand. My experience is some brands operate smoother than others in the spin cycle.
