Can I pimp my dishwasher?
Hi all,
My dishwasher has never worked well. It was in the house when we bought it. It is a fairly new Kitchen Aid. I thought those were supposed to be good! My crappy cheap dishwasher in my old New York apartment cleaned better than this. I have already changed the pump and it made no difference in the quality of the cleaning. I load it properly - making sure that the arms rotate freely and that water can spray properly. I also use powdered Cascade which I know is the best detergent. But, the glasses always seem to have little bits of food residue and the water that pools at the top of the glasses is always dirty. We don't have a hard water problem or an issue with water pressure. The water seems to be heating properly (it is steaming hot if I open the door during the cycle).
Is there anything I can do to it to make this machine work better?
Has anyone ever added after market parts to their dishwasher to increase performance?
