Hot water heater apparently has problem, as whole house has no hot water pressure (cold water pressure is fine, pilot light is on, hot water still present - eventually, just little/no pressure)... this will be fixed soon hopefully. In the interim, dishwasher runs but obviously would take too long to (or would never) fill with hot water to run. Would heating the water externally (microwave, stove) and pouring into the dishwasher then cycling the dishwasher to wash with that water damage the dishwasher? If not, how many gallons, and to what degree of heat? Over and above the fact that I'm swamped/lazy enough to prefer not to hand wash the dishes for my family of 6, I would prefer not to have to beg my brother to fix the dishwasher in addition to the water heater. ;-) Thanks in advance for any advice.

I have a GE extra large capacity 4-cycle Heavy Duty electric dryer (model #PVXR343EAOWW) which only seems to provide extremely low heat. I have checked circuit breakers, both are linked and not tripped. I have made sure venting from Dryer all the way to outside is clear. Everything else with the dryer seems to be working fine, timer, start switch, shut-off when door is opened. It is just the lack of heat. Is there anything else I can check. If not, any idea on what the problem might be (i.e. Element(s) or internal fuses if any)?? Is approximate cost of fixing worth it? Dryer is 6 years old, and has had extensive use with family of 5.
