Washer has no hot water

Washer is a Whirlpool "Estate" model. Yesterday the washer stopped filling with hot water. It wouldn't do anything, except sit there. Warm/cold or cold settings work, except on the warm/cold setting, only cold comes out. I'm thinking the screen on the hot water inlet might be plugged, or the hot water side solenoid of the inlet valve is bad. Am I heading in the right direction?

Wink

Yes go for it. Pull the hose and check the screen first. then see if the vaLve works. dont take a lot and they jam up so they dont work.

It was the water inlet valve. Works like a champ now. I didn't like wrestling with the cabinet. There has to be an easier way than removing the cabinet.
