I was recently given a newer Kenmore dishwasher (maybe a couple years old) it has auto sensing and it's quieter than the one that it replaced. I installed it myself with no difficulties. It's been running great for about 3 months when all of the sudden once it begins washing bit of the cycle it makes a remarkably loud vibrating sort of noise. We noticed it in the middle of a cycle and I opened the dishwasher up and found that the lid to a water bottle had found it's way through the dish cage. I moved the lid so that it would be out of the way of the spinning blades and closed the unit up so it could continue to wash. I assumed this was the problem and the noise would now stop. The noise continued however and I finished the cycle by switching it to quick rinse. I'd hoped that somehow something had just temporarily bumped itself out of alignment and that the next dish load would sound just like normal. I was wrong the dishwasher continues to make this awful sound. I can't afford to pay someone to come out and look at this right now. Does anyone have any suggestions? Any help would be fantastic.

My washing machine will not go through the rinse/drain cycle. Washes fine on all different settings, but when it gets to the rinse cycle it just makes a humming noise. It completes the cycle and shuts off normally, leaving me with a tub full of water and suds...anybody know how to fix this? The brand is GE. fred
