Front loader washer detergent.

I prefer powder to liquid detergent, but the only HE/low sudsing detergent I can find it liquid. Does HE powder exist? Is regular powder fine to use in front loaders?

I've used it a few times, the clothes come out clean, and the machine never overflows, but if someone makes a powder for front loaders, I'll use it.

Yes, they do make "HE" detergent in powder. I am suprised you can't find it in powder form. Here where we live, powdered HE detergent is sometimes difficult to find at Wal-Mart. Tide is the big maker of HE detergent, but other manufacturers have it as well.

If you use regular detergent in a front load washer, you risk getting too many suds in the washer. HE detergent is designed to be lower sudsing for water efficent machines. If you must use regular powder in a front loader, use considerably less than you normally use. Even just a spoonful would be enough depending on what type of water you have.

Hope this helps........
