Kenmore fridge keeps running
My son gave me a used side-by-side Kenmore fridge. It has been turned off for over a year. I turned it on two days ago, but it will not stop running.
Is that normal? It is only 3 years old.

No.
Sounds like it *probably* lost refrigerant and the compressor cannot make the refrigerator cold enough to meet the demand of the thermostat temperature setting. IF it's indeed the compressor that you hear running. Be sure the compressor IS running.
Have you put a thermometer in the freezer section and refrigerator sections?
Also, is the cooling fan (evaporator fan) running in the freezer as it should?
