dryer timer ?
hello what can i do to troubleshoot the timer cicuit on our dryer? if you put it on normal and in the middle of the timer switch setting for time it will run forever and not shut off. any ideas? thanks Randy

Ya, you have a bad timer.
if you do not have a humidistat and you are setting the dryer to check for a moisture level and the clothes do get dry, it simply acts as if the timer doesn;t run.
Now if you have one of the more technologically advanced units that replaced simple mechanical timers with complex and over engineered electronic timing systems, you're on your own again.
