antique wilcolator oven thermostat coil broken

i am restoring my grandmothers antique wood, and electric oven, the thermostat is a wilcolator type R-3 the copper wire that has the mercury in it is broken, how can i get this repaired, and a new wire?

I have a wilcolator Type TTP thermostat that is broken It is used on a 40 year old Wedgewood gas stove Can I fix it?

When is a dryer being used efficiently

You ever have one of those marriage ending arguments about who took left the cap off the maple syrup, or weather its hurts the car to downshift....sorry in advance for this question, but I can't seem to find an answer and maybe you guys will know. The wife was putting a single shirt in the dryer. ME - you should wait till you have enough stuff( next load of wash would be ready in 5 min) Wife - I need this dry now ME - If you put that in the dryer by itself, it will take longer to dry. It will actually take less time drying if you wait and fill the dryer up. Wife - Thats stupid Me - No really. If you fill the dryer up, the air will circulate faster through the drum and remove the moister faster. Wife - Your stupid Me - I'm stupid....Your the one who spilled water all over the shirt. ........and then she threw the shirt at me So does anybody know the answer to the following: If you put one shirt in a dryer and in another dryer you fill it up with the same kind of shirts, which load would dry faster. This machine is only a few months old. A few weeks ago, wifey say water is hot when should be cold, and vice versa. I took a quick look and seemed to be what she said. I waited until I had a day off, and was going to tear into it today, but checked again before I started taking things apart. Lo and behold cold is cold and hot is hot!!!!!!!!!! Is there anything which could be intermittent fubar in the water control to do this?? I notice on the wiring diagram that the water temp is not just switches, there is a module called the ATC switch, and and ATC sensor. Are we overthinking this, or has anyone seen a problem like this. As an aside, when the machine was just two weeks old,a non resettable thermal limit went out for no apparent reason. I could have called for warranty service, I suppose, but I just replaced it. Is this a sign of the times...too many parts made in china, etc??? The predecessor was essentially identical to this machine...Whirlpool 27" thin twin. Lasted for 20 years, and actually was still working, but starting to show signs of problems, and found a good sale on the WET3300. When I look at the parts lists for the old machine, most of the part numbers when you dial them in cross to the identical part # in the new machine! Looks like not much innovation went into this baby!!! Anyway, sorry for rambling on. I really just am interested to know if there is something to be on the lookout for in the water circuit.
