G.E. washer leaks and makes noise during spin cycle
I have a front load GE washer with a metal (s.s.)basket. It has been leaking water all of the time regardless of it's operating status and during the spin cycle it makes a loud plastic smashing sound. I have a feeling that the water pump is broken, but I'm not sure since I haven't looked at it yet. Can anyone confirm or deny this. Thanks, Will

OK so I took'er apart and found over a dollars worth of change, a drill bit and a precision screwdriver
in the water pump's collection bin. that solves the Lego clanging sounds, and the leak was from a large hole in the outer basket.
by the way the model # is wcvh6260fww. my next step is to find an adhesive to bond the plastic piece back to the basket, I found the piece when I was vacuuming out the bottom tray. any suggestions on the type of adhesive? I will be looking into that problem know, thank you.
