We have a 2 year old Kenmore Elite Catalyst washer that will fill and won't do anything else - it just buzzes. I would love any ideas on what may be the problem. Thanks

Hello All, I have a Kenmore 110 top loader washing machine. It has a two part agitator. The bottom seems to spin fine. The top does a following motion. The top part spins easily in either direction. I popped the top inspection cover and see a ratchetting system. The system does not seem to do much, with three arms that come out but don't grab anything or prevent the unit from only turning in one direction. I see no broken pieces of plastic. The machine does agitate and the top portion does follow around slowly, although we have been careful not to fill the machine to the top with clothes. My question is whether or not the upper agitator should spin freely and if the ratchetting system is toast, any removal and replacement info would be helpful. Thanks, Jimmy
