Whirlpool ED25LF stopped cooling

7 Year old Whirlpool ED25LF just stopped cooling out of the blue.

Both sides of this Side by Side model are now as warm as the outside.

I took the front cover off and cleaned the dust from the cooling coils, checkd the condensor fan (it is spinning correctly, running all the time) and unplugged the machine for 24 hours. Plugged in this morning at 7:00am. At 1:00 checkd the temp and both sides are at 77degrees.

Took the lower back cover off and looked at the compressor, it is very hot to the touch.

Not sure what to do next...any suggestions?

Thanks

When you plug in the refrigerator listen at the back for the compressor. Does it just hum and then about 5-8 seconds click off? If so check the compressor relay/overload. Chances are, it is bad and easily replaced.
