ge electric dryer dbl333 thumps
on a limited budget. would like to repair this thumping in my dryer myself. any suggestions as to determining if it is a roller problem and if so or if not, how to fix...is this a somewhat doable fix for me? thanks for any help.

unplug dryer firstIs the thumping new? most dryers have a small thump where the seam of the drum goes over the rollers. GE dryer have felt and plastic rim in the front for a front bearing. The felt or plastic bearings may be bad. There is a center bearing in back but that usually squeals. the belt may have a chunk missing also.
to get to belt and rest of dryer open door and take 2 screws in top of door frame out. lift top up and slide forward to get it out from under consul. you can see belt and get to rest of tear down from there.
