Whirlpool Washer LSQ9600LW1 cycle takes 6 hours!
I have the washer mentioned in the title; it is about 4.5-5 years old.
The problem arises in the Permanent Press cycle. Within the cycle, the steps read: "Regular, Light, Pause, Cool-down, Rinse." I always start the cycle on regular; what happens is that the cool-down step takes hours to complete (I think it is the cool-down step, the pointer points directly at cool-down, which may mean the very-end stage of the Pause step?).
Specifically, the washer will stop running for 10 minutes, and then turn on to agitate for about 2 seconds. It does this over the course of many hours. Finally, the washer will complete the cycle as if nothing was out of the ordinary. I don't recall it gradually slowing down, it was all of a sudden.
For background information, I am the only one who uses the washer, and all my clothes minus dress shirts I wash on the permanent press cycle only. All the other cycles (normal, delicate, hand washables) operate with no problems.
Does anyone have any idea what needs to be replaced/fixed? Thanks!
