frigitaire dishwasher says working, but nothing happens?!!!
Hello all, I've got a frigidaire dishwasher fdbb1940ds0....not more than 3 years old TOPS.
I load it up, close the door, and all looks fine. choose the cycle, hit start, and hear the electronic click coming from inside the door, but nothing happens after that.
before, when I hit start, it would automatically start the cycle to drain the old water out, then fill it, and wash, etc.
now, nothing. the timer says it's working, but the dishwasher does nothing other than have that electronic click after I push start...the click sounds normal, it's just that nothing happens after that.
I'm fairly competant at all walks of wrenching in life, from auto to home repairs, so I'd like to tackle this on my own, if possible...
any ideas here?? I'd rather figure this on my own rather than spend hundreds on another darn washer or repair man
thanks in advance...
oh yea, I thought, well shoot, maybe the door switch is broken, but if I hit start with the door open, it says CL, so i'd guess that means it's sensing the door closing just fine.

Dishwashers have gone digital, like everythimg else, and changed over the years, like with boards, and become more efficient, etc.
I can't tell you your exact cause. Maybe you can find the wiring diagram under the toe-plate inside, and see where all the current goes to. I'm presuming that you cannot advance it like you could the old manual dial type?
