Kenmore 80 series washer underfilling
Hello,
I have a top loading Kenmore Model 110.26882503 that underfills just before the spin cycle, which means the cycle knob stays in the same position just before the "rinse" indicator and therefore never agitates or spins. It always fills and washes/agitates at the beginning of the wash cycle, but underfills for the rinse. The washer also has a knob to choose a second rinse option, and the same thing happens for that cycle as well. I noticed that if I move the water level knob to a lower level, nothing happens, but if I move it clockwise to "reset", then back to "large load" it proceeds to complete filling and goes through the remaining cycles. Is there a problem with the water level selector, or is there a pressure sensor that's shutting the water off too soon? It seems to fill to about 90 % of what level I select. Thanks for any help.

try to fill with cold water only
Check the cold water to see if you are getting any or is it running at a slow trickle. Make sure the cold is tured all the way on, check screen in the fill valve. Put hose in washer tub and check to see if hose bib works, If all OK than you need a fill valve (mixer valve) usually called.
Rinse cycles work on cold water usually
