Unhappy Kenmore 80 washer not draining or spinning

My washer fills and agitates perfectly. After the agitation cycle the machine is just dead. I can hear the timer ticking. The machine will not pump or spin in any cycle. Can you help me pinpoint the exact problem??? If you think it may be the lid switch, is there a way to by pass or test the switch??

Check the lid switch on right side as you open lid. Don't have model number to tell which switch you have but most of them you can put your hand at the switch and reach under the top and push up on switch, Put a pencil or pen in slot and push on lever and machine will drain and spin. Put the timer in the spin position. If works than you need a switch.

Smile Thanks Pugsl

When I pulled out the lid switch, the case it was in had pulled apart. No electrical contact was being made. When I held the case closed and tested it with the meter, the switch was fine. I wired the case closed, reassembled and all works great!!!Thanks.
