Proper type of duct for electric dryer vent

What is the best type of duct to use for venting an electric dryer? We had what I think was the semi rigid duct with our old dryer, but when the people delivered the new dryer, they used what looks like flexible metal duct (more flexible and shiny silver).

The recommended duck is the hard flexible duct. The silver one is used in hard to get at locations or limited room. Either work well as long as you don't pinch the tube behind dryer. Most dryer problems start from vent problems.
