Rental condo Whirlpool dishwasher

I have a rental condo and the tenant says the dishwasher isn't getting "all the soap off of the silverware".

Geez, mine doesn't either, but I just rinse them off by hand and dry them.

But, we need to take a look at it since it's a rental.

Someone had said to run lemonaide through the cycle because the soap sometimes clogs up in the jets.....or how about CLR?

Would that be the way to go with that?

THANK YOU!

A few things to check- is it just the silverware? if so, it could be the way they're loading the dw. also, make sure the dispenser door opens all the way. if its powdered soap, how old is it? that stuff does have a limited shelf life. if its all clumpy-its no good. third, is the water going in hot enough (120)? If the the water heater isn't right next to the dishwasher, it probably isnt. I advise my tenants to run the tap at the sink before starting the load. then you'll be assured you have the correct temp from start to finish. Lastly you could have water hardness issues, but thats rare.
