Whirlpool LSQ9549PW2 lid switch problem

I am having a problem with a Whirlpool washing machine
model LSQ9549PW2. No agitation after tub is full of water.
I understand I may have a problem with the lid switch. The problem is I have no idea where it is. I would like to by-pass to test my theory. Any idea how to get to it and ultimately by-pass?

look in top, part 11 is the switch. first I would tighten the screws to the lid hinges, I bet that is your problem. please post with answer or if you still have a problem.

Problem solved

Your suggestion worked. I tightened the hinge screws, minimally I might add, and all is well. It seems strange, but thank you very much.

I have a Frigedaire Refrigerator Model# FRT18QRCW2 that is having some cooling issues. Nothing is cold in the refrigerator section and nothing in the freezer is freezing. I feel cool air blowing out in the freezer section continuosly however it is not cold enough I guess to freeze anything. I set all the controls to the coldest setting and it still doesn't work. Dryer is hot but takes two cycles to dry

:wall: My dryer is about 3 years old but has sat in storage for 2 of the 3 years. Now that it's being used it's definitely hot but takes 2 cycles to dry anything. Plus the lint trap never fills up. I get about an inch or two of lent at the very end of the trap. I'm in an apartment so I had them clean out the vent to outside. They said there was some clogging but not much. I cleaned out the tube that attaches to the wall and made sure there weren't any kinks in it. After all that it still takes forever to dry. Plus I found that if I pull the lint trap out about an inch or two while it runs it fills up with lint all the way to the top. I don't know what else to do. Do I need to open up the dryer and clean lint out from the inside? If so, does anyone have any pointers?Read More
