kenmore model 417-40042990 washer/matching dryer
I have the above combo stacked washer/dryer. Due to some back issues I want to purchase one of the pedestals to put under the washer to raise it about a foot. I'm being told by the sears sales person that I would throw the dryer 'off balance' & this wouldn't work. Is this true? The dryer is already anchored to the washer & nothing changes there. It just gets a little higher? please advise.

You have a separate washer and dryer that are stacked. You could put it on a pedestal. but it might shake when washer is in the spin cycle. Putting it on a pedestal raises the center od gravity makes any shake more. Also you probably will have to pay 2 tech to come out to your house if you need service. You may have to anyway as units are already stacked.
