Waching Machine Hoses

I just replaced the hot and cold supply hoses to the washing wachine with Watts Stainless steel braided ones from The Home Depot, does anyone know what the life expectancy of these hoses is? Nothing on the packaging says when they should be replaced. Thanks

You'll be replacing the appliances before the hoses. Most places recommend 10 yrs that I know of. True SS reinforced hoses would probably outlast both of us. Thats why the "Floodstop", although more pricey are not a bad deal.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't go with the Floodstop because the Home Depot guy said they have been a problem, activating during normal operation of the washing machine.

I've heard that, tho never experienced it. Heard more problems with the use of those (Floodstop) on toilets.

Small town here, I don't have many choices, at the mercy of corporate buyers. I have the Floodstops on my washer and have no problems (fingers crossed).

Have seen these hoses used before and do not recommend them for washers as I have seen pronlems with them. Will not let water flow smoothly and on some high end washers causes problems.
