Electric Dryer and Circuit Breaker Problem

Hello,

Please help me out - whenever I turn on the Electric Dryer, the circuit breaker turn off after few minutes of running. I checked the outlet - it has enough voltage to run.

Why it turn off? Is this a bad circuit breaker? Dryer problem? How to identify problem and how to fix it? Please help me out.

Thanks,

Sharif

It is obviously pulling too many amps for the circuit breaker to handle. What is the amp rating on the breaker?

I thought so - but it turn off at day time or night time when nothing else is running. What do you think?

Is this a typical full size dryer on 240 volts? If so, they use 10 gauge wire supplying a 30 amp recepticle (or wired direct) and use 2-pole 30A breaker.
