Arrow Whirpool washing machine leak (Moved. Prior Wrong Topic)

Hi,

Our 10+ year old machine had a small leak for many months that we've tolerated because the house is being remodeled and we wanted to wait for everything to be done before replacing it. But now it really started pouring out water.

It doesn't appear to be a hose. It seems to be coming from beneath the drum between the drum and mounting plate on the left front. Any ideas on what this is or if it's worth fixing to get another year out of it?

Thanks guys!

Do you have the cabinet off? Look at the front of motor the water pump is located there. Usual leak is there either out the seal or you mighr see a leak out the front of pump. Do you havwe a automatic bleach dispenser in the right front corner of machine? Look for blocked holes in top lid of tub where water drains into tub from dispenser. Last place to look is if water is draining down one of the tub support legs from center of tub you might have a leaking seal there (very rare). Give model # and can help better.

Wink Darn leaks

Sometimes On these fsp manufactured (whirlpool kenmore estate roper ect.) washers I have found that the plastic tubs can crack on the bottom and cause a leak. The tub is very expensive to replace. try tipping the machine on its side and with a flashlight inspect the tub botton and sides for cracks. There really isnt much water pressure to hold back so a good dose of silicone (be generous) on and around the crack solves the problem. Use automotive silicone for best results.
