Question Frigidaire Front Load Washer Drum Noise-Repair?

Hi! I have a 9 yr old Frigidaire Front Load Washer Model# FWTR445RFS1, and all of a sudden during the spin cycle I heard a big thump/clunk noise. I took out the clothes and when I run it again on spin, it starts up ok, but then the basket really starts to wobble and I hear the noise again. I can also move the basket too freely when stopped. Is this something I can repair..a belt or something?? Or do you know what it might be and what do you think my repair cost is going to be..do I need to have a repairman out? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

You need a basket. rear tub and I would also replace the door boot has a new design. basket is under lifetime warranty but have to have factory man fix it.

Frigidair Front Loader Drum Noise, Revisited

I am now experiencing the same symptoms on a 5 year old Model CRTF1240ASO. It sounds unbalanced even when there is nothing in machine but water. A clunk-clunk sound with every rotation while trying to spin. Seems to be worse in one direction than the other. HELP!

Sounds like rear bearing, Reach inside and turn basket by hand, usually can feel bearing roughness. Lift basket up and down in tub should not have looseness there.

"A clunk-clunk sound with every rotation while trying to spin"

could be broken basket spider. time to buy a new washer regardless
