Maytag Quiet Series 100 door latch

Hello,
The door latch is broken. Looks like the spring got loose - the latch does not return into initial position after I push it up. I can open/close the door but... it takes some time
Is it an easy fix? Could you please direct me to the schematic diagram or/and directions on how to fix that. Do I need to worry about anything after I unscrew the security screws on the front door?
TIA, Alex.

Maytag Quiet Series 100 Door Latch Problem

I have a model MDBTT59AWW Maytag Quiet Series 100 and have what sounds like the same door latch problem. I'd like to try to fix it myself first, but I'm concerned about taking the screws out of the door and what I might hurt in the process. Is this something that is easily fixed, and if so, how? Thanks.

Maytag Quiet Series 100 Door Latch

Thank you for posting the diagram. I did fix this myself - after I took the screws out of the door I had to replace the entire door latch assembly. It was a relatively easy fix. I appreciate the help! Happy New Year!
