Dishwasher drawer wheels are coming off

Hi, I have a ten-year-old GE Triton dishwasher. A couple of the wheels on the lower rack keep coming off. New wheels are like $12 apiece, not including shipping which is highway robbery. I hope to fix this myself.

As you can see in the picture, the center of the wheel slides over the horizontal piece sticking out next to it. There is a plastic piece (facing downward in the pic) that is supposed to hold on to the vertical part of the rack. This plastic piece has lost its holding power.

Any ideas on permanently or semi-permanently attaching this wheel? I was thinking of using some Gorilla Glue, but thought that might not be a good idea.

GE redesigned these rollers so that they won’t fall off as often. Use this link to view a picture of it. GE Dishwasher Parts

Thanks, I'm glad they improved the design, but there is no way I'm paying $12 per wheel on a decade-old dishwasher. I'm just looking for a quick fix that might last a year or two.

How do they justify the insane prices for replacement parts? I once had to order a replacement dial for a Hotpoint stove that was less than a year old. GE charged me $45 including shipping for a 5 cent piece of plastic!

Are you sure that they are the good ones because I think they cost more than that wholesale. GE (along with others) thinks a lot of their parts it is unreal the price on some of the parts.

I hear you, GE parts are high. I searched ebay using the GE part numbe WD12X10267. The vendor has two WD12X10267 rollers and four WD12X271 rollers all for $31.95 plus $3.50 shipping. The photo at the ebay shows them in GE pkgs. I even downloaded the pic and looked at in Win Media Player for a better look. The only way to know for sure would be to have it ones hot little hands.
