Frigidaire Side by Side Refrigerator one side broke
I have a Frigidaire side by side 25 cu. ft refrigerator. The freezer is working. The refrigerator side is warm. Not hot, but not cold either. What could be wrong with it?
Thanks.
Thanks.

You have a few possibilities:
1) Your evaporator is froze up because your defrost heater is broken. To find this remove the food in the freezer and remove the panel to access the evaporator. (most cases in the back) It will be all froze up with ice. If this is the case then melt the ice with a heat gun or hair dryer. Pull out the heater and confirm with an ohm meter. If your get nothing then it is bad.
2) IF the heater shows ohms then your defrost timer may be bad and it is not going through the defrost cycle.
3) There is a opening/door between the freezer and fridge where the cold air comes from to cool the fridge side. The door could be stuck. There maybe a fan that moves the air from one side to the other that is bad/stuck. or it just might be clogged with ice/food.

you were right - just wanted to follow up here. Thank you. We sold it to a military base for a small amount to give someone something nicer then what they have.
