Kenmore front loading washer

My front loading washer suddenly started making dirt marks on my clothes a while back. It seemed like the large rubber gasket inside the door was collecting dirt in it. I cleaned it several times - it has tons of grooves that were hard to get to. That seemed to solve the problem but I am worried it will happen again and want to avoid that. Is there an easier way to clean this part (maybe run vinegar through the washe or something else?) OR...would a certain kind of detergent help?

Any help is much appreciated!

Thanks!
