Dishwasher does not completely empty
Hi:
After most cleaning cycles, our dishwasher does not fully remove all the water. The amount varies from an inch down to a quarter-inch. I can clear the balance by hitting the cancel button.
Can anyone suggest the cause and what part I might want to replace?
Make: Kenmore
Model: 13539000
Thanks!

Maybe you have an issue with the sump under or behind the lower spray arm being partially plugged. Since cycles are timed, - if you have even a slight obstruction, this can make it were there just is not enough time for all the water to drain.
I had one about 2 weeks ago and fixed it by getting out the stuff down below the screen and in the holdign basket below it. There are also other areas to look at like making sure drain hose is not pinched somewhere between it and the kitchen sink, and that the entire air gap drain tube system by the sink is not clogged with slime. If it is, it will be in the air gap itself or where the outflow tube from the airgap goes either into the garbage disposer or tees into the sink drain tailpiece, as there is a baffle in there.
