Kenmore oven will not heat
I have a Kenmore stove model #911-9328813 with digital controls. I just recently replace the baking burner ( Lower element) and everything worked right. Now the problem is that when I select the bake button and set the temperature at any degree the setting such as 350F the temperture setting jumps back to 100F indicates "pre bake on." I cleaned all the connections to the panel but this didn't help. The broiler setting still works as does all the top burners. Any suggestions? Bob

The woes of digitally controlled appliances, that throws one more monkeywrench into the diagnostics.
Obviously I take it you want it to go directly to bake(and have been able to in the past) without first having to make it go into pre-bake mode. I'm just curious what you have to do when you DO want to set it to pre-bake.
You do not have a user manual that maybe can guide you through this?

Thanks for the reply ecman, Actually this is my daughters stove and from what she tells me is she just goes to BAKE then set the temperture and it always worked that way. Is there another way that you know of? From what I see right now is that it is automatically going to PRE BAKE ON when she sets the Temperture. Also when it does go to pre bake how long should it stay at that setting and should the lower element start getting hot? Does it go to BAKE automatically after a pre bake period? TIA Bob

I'm really not sure. Sorry.
It could be a board malfunction - but am reluctant to tell people to go out and buy a board, when I really do not know.
Anyone else?
