Demented Kenmore wall oven circa 1975
Oven works great, time bake dials have just decided to go around and buzz. A very annoying loud buzz that I can't get to go away. I have never done a time bake and I haven't touched them. It is a 24 inch oven.
I would like to take off the control panel and disable the time bake function or the buzzer but don't have a clue how to do it. I am now just turning off the circuit breaker to the oven when I am not using it.
Appreciate any help. Remember, this is not a computer oven, it's a dinosaur.
Thanks.
Candace

Disconnect power.
Remove control panel (most will drop down and hang in place).
Identify the bell or buzzer and remove either the black or white wire and tape the connector with electrical tape sufficiently for safety.
Check that no other wires came off the clock or oven controls while disabling the buzzer.
Re-install panel and restore power to test.
