Samsung Refrigerator freezer problems

I have model RS2534VQ/XAA and the freezer temp light keeps blinking. Also the freezer is now getting warmer and warmer by the hour. It was acting up a while ago. I used it for my garage refrigerator for a while and when I moved it was unplugged for about 1 week and when we plugged it back in it has been working fine. I am wondering if it just needs to be defrosted again or if it is something else as the freezer temp light was not blinking before. Any ideas?? Thanks

You could thaw it back out and see if that makes the blinking stop. However that will take time.

But if you want a quicker answer, see if you can gain access to the inside liner in the freezer to gain access to the freezer coils to see if they are iced up. Frost is okay, but heavy frost/ice is not.

Thanks, but if it does have more than a little frost what does that mean?

That it probably is not defrosting. It has to defrost the frost off the coils regularly so that below 0 degrees coil temp can be transfered to the air by the fan. If no defrost, the frost would grow and grow and turn more into ice. Ice on the coils insulates, plus blocks air from getting through the coils properly.

Thank you. So that explains why it worked perfect after I defrosted it completely. And now I know where all that water came from when we were moving it. So any idea why it is doing that? Please tell me it is not an expensive fix. I am good with my hands. Is it a bolt on part or something easy like that? If you know please shed some light on that for me. Thank you
