Approximately 1975 GE top freezer refrigerator (13.6 cubic feet) that runs and runs and runs. I have the temperature selector on '1', if I put it on '2' it freezes my milk and eggs so it must have plenty of freon. Defrosted it the other day, vacuumed out the '>' shaped lines on the bottom. Then took a beer bottle brush and cleaned it some more then vacuumed it again. Fan is working fine, it's blowing hot air all day. :( According to my kill-a-watt it has used 23 kwh in the last 110 hours. So, that's 150.5 kwh a month which is a quarter of my monthly use, give or take a bit. Just seems way too much to me. I have an antique Co-Op (bit smaller) in my hot garage, mostly empty and it hardly runs at all compared to the GE. Anything I can check? Thanks, Baldwin

Hello everyone. New to the forum and hoping to find answers to my washing machine problems. We really can't afford a new machine right now, and having the pros come out for service is not an option. Kenmore 80 series spin cycle problem. Well I have read many posts on a similar problem, but not the exact problem. The machine will not spin the water out on the regular cycle. It will pump the water down but leave the clothes still soaked. I don't think it's the coupler or clutch that is mentioned in all the other posts. It's kind of annoying and time consuming, but If I go and click the dial over to a second spin cycle it will spin the water right out. I have been using it like this for over a year, and it's time to fix it. Any ideas other than the coupler and transmission clutch. The way it operates just fine with the second spin cycle, proves that the coupler and clutch is still good. Thanks Mike
