Question Kenmore series 80 washier spin cycle problem

Kenmore series 80 washer / model# 110.26822692 (around 8 yrs. Old)
"2nd rinse" spin cycle stopped working several months ago.
"permanent press" spin cycle stopped recently.
"ultra clean" spin cycle started same thing. After many tries to get it started again, found if i held the knob out tight when it started to spin it would keep running. Now will only work if i put cardboard behind dial to keep it tight. If this is not done it gets to spin and stops. Do you know what needs replacing from this description?

I guess you are talking about the timer knob? If that is the case you need a timer

Kenmore 80 series model 110 23832100 - agitator speed problem

Hi, I read through this forum and did not see a problem which is similar to my washer's problem.
I have 80 series Kenmore for 8 years. Model number 11023832100. It worked perfect until last Thursday. It looks like everything is fine but the agitator can't change from slow to fast. It always keep the same speed (slow and weak) even I turn to heavy load. The sound looks like a drum noise. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Make sure the speed switch is in the proper position. Have seen many times switch is between cycle selections. Keep us posted.

Kenmore 80 series won't always spin out

I have a Kenmore 80 series that stopped spinning out the last cycle a while ago. It drains, but it doesn't spin. If I reset the cycle it will spin without any problems. Recently it has been getting stuck before it drains or spins during first rinse cycle, but again, will continue if I reset the cycle. It doesn't do this everytime, but most of the time. I also don't hear any noises with it.

Dose the timer stop and you have to move it to restart?
