Ice Maker problems

My ice maker motor works fine, but the tubing for the water line, was not filling the ice maker it was shooting out behind my refrigerator..I can put ice cubes into my ice maker and it will crush them just fine, but miss my ice maker. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

If water is shooting out...most likely a connection has blown loose. Pull the fridge out and trace the line from the wall to the solenoid valves and then to the icemaker.

Oh...if it only does it when the icemaker calls for water...it would be after the solenoid valve (where the water line from the wall connects to the fridge). If it does it at random times...your house water pressure could be fluctuating and occasionally make a slightly leaky joint leak even worse. Could be a symptom of another problem.

You can lift the "bail" in the ice storage area to turn off the icemaker if you haven't already.
