maytag washer won't complete cycle

I have a Maytag Neptune front loader washer; model # MAH5500BWW.
When I start the wash cycle it fills with water and when it goes into the next step to start washing it stops and all the lights go out then come back on and flash and it does not give us a code.
Do you have any idea what could be the problem?
Thanks!

One of many problems with your washer, Open console and look at control board for a burnt resistor, If there you need a wax motor (door lock) and control board. If you don't see anything there take front off and look at motor control board for the same thing. Hard to see on that board, Forgot which wires to check but you should have 120 volts to board. If burnt resistor you need a motor and motor control board. If my washer I would use it for a boat anchor.
