kenmore washer starts to fill, water continues to run but water level stays low.

My washer will start to fill with water. The water will continue to run but the water level never rises. It's like the water is draining somewhere else. Does anyone know what this might be? This is a relatively new machine..less than 5 years. It did this before and then after a few hours, it started to work again and fill up. THanks for any help.

Pull the drain hose out of wall. only put about 6 inches into wall drain. Drain hose is to far down and causing a siphon action. Be sure to use a tie wrap or tape hose to fill hoses or drain hose might come back out.
