Whirlpool Imperial ed2lhaxmQ that is not cooling

I had posted this with another post that was about a fridge and freezer combo not cooling but I think I should have started a new post instead as I believe it is a different problem.
The fridge light aand fan are working but it defrosted completely.
I vacumed the back and after leaving it unplugged for a few minutes plugged it in and the switch for the compressor tried to start up the compressor at least 5 times. Could this be a swith problem or compressor problem ? The fridge is only 6 years old.

Its repaired!!! It was a switch problem and we were sooo lucky to get a repair person to come after 4 days without the fridge. He installed a new piece that attaches to the compressor and regulates temperature etc. He said he had not come upon this problem, maybe once before.. 47$ for the part & 70$ for the house call and half hour labour plus tax $135.00.

Part no.RCO 410
Fridge and freezer working fine for the day so far.
