Kenmore Washer Gives Burning Smell

Hi. I recently replaced the coupler on my Kenmore washer because it wasn't spinning. After the replacement (previous one was indeed cracked), it now spins, but I shut it off because it is still loud with a smell like it is going to catch on fire.

I've read up what I could and it seems like this could be coming from a host of parts. Anyone have any ideas?

Most likely you will have to take cabinet off and jump lid switch and watch it run with cabinet off to see where (smoke, smell) coming from.
